Fall has a way of making you suddenly want everything in your life to smell better. Your perfume needs more depth. Your apartment needs something warm floating through the air. Your body butter should probably smell like you have plans later, even if those plans are just getting under a blanket.
So consider this your seasonal scent reset, entirely from Black-owned brands of course. We’ve got fragrances to wear, room sprays to mist with abandon, and body butters to slather on once the temperature drops and your skin starts acting brand new. Basically: if it can make you—or your home—smell incredible this fall, it’s here.

Wear it.
Vanilla oud usually arrives with a lot of drama, and this one seems to know it. Iris and white suede smooth out the smoke, while amber, patchouli, and tonka keep things warm and just a little dangerous. Wear this when you want to smell expensive, mysterious, and slightly unavailable.

Espresso affogato and rum cake sounds like it could go full dessert cart, but Casino has enough almond and golden woods to keep it grown. It’s cozy, boozy, and rich without making you smell like a bakery. Basically, a fall date-night fragrance with a little money on it.
Rum, sandalwood, orris, and musk give Harlem Nights the energy of last call somewhere with velvet seating and a dress code. It’s dark, smooth, and sexy without being loud about it. The fragrance equivalent of knowing you look good and not needing anybody else to confirm it.
Rose can get real polite real fast. Dark Rose isn't interested. Plum, pink peppercorn, cumin, patchouli, and labdanum give it some teeth, while vanilla keeps the whole thing lush, never severe. For anyone who wants a floral that is decidedly not here to be pretty.

Candied apple, marshmallow, violet, and sandalwood sounds dangerously close to county fair in a bottle—which is part of the appeal. The creamy sandalwood keeps it from tipping into pure sugar, so it lands playful, cozy, and a little unexpected. This is the one for the first crisp day when you immediately start acting like summer never happened.
Green peppercorn, freesia, and violet leaf give 13 Stems a crisp, almost leafy opening before white leather and amber bring it back down to earth. It’s fresh without feeling summery and polished without getting boring. Consider this the fragrance for those early fall days when the outfit says October but the weather very much does not.
Spray it.
Orange and citrus keep the cinnamon and clove from going full craft-store fall, while violet, rose, and balsamic notes give it a little polish. This is the one to spray when you want your place to smell seasonal without announcing that you’ve been waiting for September since July.

Bergamot and charred peppercorn give this a bright, smoky kick, while lavender, clary sage, and oak mellow things out underneath. It smells polished without being precious, like the kind of room where somebody always has a good playlist on and the lighting is somehow perfect.
Bergamot, mandarin, and neroli keep this bright up top, while sandalwood, amber, musk, and tonka make it cozy underneath. It’s perfect if your idea of fall is less pumpkin patch and more fresh sheets, open windows, and finally turning the AC off.

Cedarwood, sandalwood, palo santo, vanilla, musk, and amber give Woodland Wonder that soft, woodsy, expensive-hotel thing without trying too hard. Spray it when your apartment is clean and you’d like it to smell like you have excellent taste and no clutter.
Pumpkin, vanilla, caramel, and pecan could easily become dessert in aerosol form, but coconut and amber keep White Pumpkin from getting too literal. This is for the person who does, in fact, want their home to smell like fall—just not like the seasonal aisle at Target.
Slather it on.
Amber and vanilla are doing exactly what you want them to do here: creamy, enveloping, and just a little sexy. The rich shea-based formula makes it feel especially right once the weather starts drying out your skin. Basically, this is the body butter equivalent of putting on a sweater you know looks good.
Cocoa and coconut make this smell warm and comforting without sending it straight into bakery territory. The texture is thick, rich, and very much for people who believe lotion should actually do something. Slather it on before bed and enjoy waking up with skin that still remembers you cared.
Neroli, ylang-ylang, and geranium bring the florals, while frankincense and sandalwood keep things warm and grounded. The ultra-rich cream is packed with mango butter and African botanical oils, so it feels every bit as indulgent as the price tag suggests. This is the one you buy when regular lotion simply isn’t glamorous enough.
Frankincense and myrrh bring the deep, resinous warmth here, giving this body butter a little incense-and-old-wood drama without making it feel overly heavy. It’s rich, grounding, and very much for the person who wants their moisturizer to leave behind more than just soft skin.
White lily and rose give Pharoah’s Love its pretty side, while musk, vanilla, and warm woods keep it from getting too delicate. The whipped shea-and-cocoa-butter formula melts right in, leaving behind soft skin and a scent that hangs around. Feminine, warm, and just a little dressed up—exactly where we want to be on a chilly night out.
Whether you’re wearing it, spraying it, or slathering it on, fall is a very good excuse to smell a little richer, warmer, and more expensive. Consider this your sign to pick a new signature scent—or at least make your apartment smell like you have one.
